This is a new posting series that I’ve decided to start. It’s called ‘The Seven of Heaven’ because in each one, I’m going to be giving you seven of the greatest things on a different topic.

This will probably be a bi-monthly series, so be sure to check it out in the future. And as always, give me all the feedback you can muster up – I’d love to hear your comments and ideas on The Seven of Heaven, as well as any other posts I happen to write.

So, with that said, let’s get to the stairway, shall we?

Today’s Seven of Heaven¬†features designers. Specifically, my favorite designers. This list is a mix of couture mavens as well as designers who work with the everyday girl. [And this list is in no particular order, just so you know.]

  1. Jean Paul Gaultier. Ever since I saw his work in The Fifth Element [one of my favorite movies], I’ve been in love with this man’s work. The colors, the cuts, the fabrics, the eccentric nature – it all speaks to me. [Forgive me for sounding so dramatic.]
  2. Marc Jacobs. I really like his style. The Fall 2007 collection was great, in my opinion. I love the sleek lines and sophisticated sexiness of his skirts and tailored suits.
  3. Bottega Veneta. This designer makes the list not only for the great couture [I love the advertisement campaign], but for the furnishing collection as well. I love the simple style of the designs.
  4. Isaac Mizrahi. Who doesn’t love Isaac Mizrahi? Great style, great personality, and he has a line at Target. What more can you say?
  5. Manolo Blahnik. I love heels. Stilhettos and wedges, peeptoes and pumps. And this guy does heels the way I like them – the higher, the better. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s a staple in on of my favorite television series of all times – Sex and the City.
  6. Louis Vuitton. French designer, American staple. No explanation needed.
  7. L.A.M.B. Say what you will, but I like Gwen’s house of style. It’s quirky, edgy, and sexy all at the same time. Forgive me, but I admire someone who can pull that off and still look as glamorous as she does.
